Product Description

Get ready for climbing, pretending to be lizards, and camping in California's famous Joshua Tree National Park. This trip aims to provide fun and informational recreation opportunities in one of the most spectacular deserts in the United States. The trip will encourage students to interact with Joshua Tree primarily through climbing. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the skills required to climb safely such as belaying, tying in, climbing styles and techniques, bouldering, spotting, lead climbing skills, and natural protection. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about the fascinating homeostasis that exists in the desert. Anyone interested in the Joshua tree specifically will have the opportunity to learn from the trip leaders and interact with countless Joshua trees.

Reservations

Reservations can be made in advance online or by calling the Outdoor Program at (970)248-1428. Full payment is required at the time a rental and/or reservation is made.

Reservation refund policy

If your reservation is canceled more than 3 days out you receive a 100% refund.

If your reservation is canceled more than 2 days out you receive a 50% refund.

If your reservation is canceled less than 2 days out you receive no refund.

Return Policy

All gear is due back the following morning after use between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. All late gear will have a late fee applied. All gear must be returned during regular business hours (8:30am to 5pm).

Campus Community Discounts

MAVcards are required for Student and Staff rentals. Alumni Card required for Alumni rentals.
